Hi All,
Finally got around to cutting my back field, which I have been wanting to get to on my chore list for quite some time.Grabbed the T2 for a quick hunt, got a nice repeatable signal.Dug it up and out pops a copper! Was not expecting that right off the bat! A short while later I got a high pitched signal, dug it up and can't figure out what it could be ....lol If anyone has a idea please chime in. HH. Tom image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Wow...... killer finds. Anxious to see what the silver piece turns out to be. Can't judge its size so may help it you take pic with something to reference it or post measurement. Congrats

Hi TN,
That silver item is 2" long, and it seems to be plugged with possibly wood or petrified leather.

Your silver item is almost certainly something that would have connected to a chatelaine. Perhaps a chatelaine pencil which has been crushed flat on one end.

A chatelaine is a series of useful items connected to a ladies' waist in the Victorian Era. Each item was connected to a central fob, by a chain. The items on the chatelaine were generally made of silver, and included handy things like a pencil, or a magnifier, or a small knife, or a patch box, etc. These items were considered essential fashion for Victorian Ladies with household responsibilities.
