That big coin George found could be a Portuguese / Brazil 10 reis? I think I can make out a crown at the top. Not too many of those found. I found a 1763 some years ago but its not much better - although that coin may clean up yet?

That's a colonial silver you don't see every day, much better that a Spanish Real. The NJ copper is another excellent find.

Yep, thats it and way better than the piece I found. The other side will have the date and likely a roman numeral X in the middle. I can see it reads Petrvs for King Peter but there are several it could be so let us know the date. I dont know the styles enough to determine wether its 17th, 18th or 19th century.

wow, you see Spanish silver here on a regular basis, but that's the first I've seen of that type. Nice finds!

looks like a 1731 windward island 12 sol. Much scarcer find for these parts than a reale! KILLER FIND!

Thanks Frank, funny story, George dug what he thought was going to be a LC, it was deep, he came over and dropped a relic in my hand. I then got a target and dug the exact relic, you can see the duplicate relics in one of the pix. Just before we were laughing about your comment to George to plant a LC for me to find. It caused allot of confusion until I figured out we found two of the same relics. I thought George planted it! Haaaaaa

Amazing, three hundred and sixteen year old copper in that shape, only you could find that George.I still have to break into the sixteenth hundreds, what a day!
