Decided to hit a small wooded area I've been looking at for a while this morning, hoping there was some older stuff around. It was actually a pretty quiet area but found my first Vicky Quarter. I'm always wishing for older, but for a quick hour hunt so close to home I won't complain about any silver!

Victorian quarters are a tough, and welcome find, I got my first one last year.

Good catch.

PS looks to be in good (better than good) shape once you get the dirt off.

I wouldn't mind a vicky quarter every few hunts :laughing7:

It all starts with one, now you ll be pulling them out all over the place!
Nice reward for checking a likely spot

I'm quite surprised how rare they seem to be! Glad to cross it off the list, been a good couple years for me crossing items off.
It does have pretty good detail, came from some rocky soil so I think it's more of a crud then just dirt, as I swished it in some plain water.
Nice to have another spot to hit for an hour here and there with a chance of something.

The more I become involved in this hobby the more appreciation I have for coins and their designs. The US (I am very patriotic) didn't always produce the prettiest coins. When I see some of the spectacular foreign coins I get very jealous and wish I could find some around here. That is a really fantastic silver you found there. Congratulations.
