Today was a typical yard hunt got a couple of kiddie rings pot metal with some plating one severely ate the other mostly intact. And just under a dollar clad coinage. The interesting thing while hunting was the scenery tho ! They stayed for about 30 minutes then were gone the next time I looked up.

Also later I decided to wash up my pile of new dirty clad from the last 4 or so hunt that till now I had not looked at. After washing up I noticed a weird looking nickel looked rather different. Hugh whats this ?!?

unexpected in the supposed to be new front.jpg unexpected in the supposed to be new rear.jpg

Evidently when I bagged it the coin was so shiny that it did not register that an older coin turned up, so check over your pile of supposedly new coins found you never know what might turn up !!!

Thanks for checking my post out and happy hunts to you all !!

Nice shape!

My V-nickel looked like a cow chewed on it, then the herd proceeded to piss on it for about 8 generations.

That's an awesome find!

Actually I think it was a recent drop by some kid! I did get some nickels off the top of some gravel and barely covered by the grass but failed to look close, hey some of those days I was having problems with sweat on my glasses lol makes it hard to see good !

Awesome refind!
