The butt plate is pretty cool...Get some measurment's for the bullet's,There's some good site's out there to help on the round's.Did you harvest the Muley in your avatar.....One thing on my to do list.....Soon hopefully....HH!!

Yes I did harvest that buck. It was one of my best hunts with a bow

kg6yll,I think that "butt plate" is actually the "tang" of a rifle or musket. It's broken,but the two screws held the breach end of the barrel to the stock.

Nice finds KG - I'm no expert on bullets, but they look CW era to me, as does the gun plate.
