When I went outside today I noticed some neighbors were throwing away some nice shelves. I need some for displaying relics so I decided to check it out. Not only did I find 2 really nice wooden shelves, but I also found a "no parking fire lane" sign, a few modern coins and a key, and an ancient crate labeled "Diamond crystal salt St. Clair Mich." The crate I would guess to be late 1800s to early 1900s, but im not sure. Even though it was kind of cheap of me to do, I scored some really nice finds! Thanks for looking and HH!

Wow! I just looked at the bottom of the crate and it says "Constructed this 7th day of January 1896." After this there is a signature! This is an awesome antique that was most likely hand made!

That crate is cool and probably has some value depending on where you live, I think advertising crates like that bring more money the closer you are to their origin. Also rarity like most collectables plays a big part in value. Even if it's not worth a lot it's still a sweet find.
