I was looking at Google Earth and seen an old cart path in the woods. So I decided to go take a look and there was a old foundation on the side of the cart path all over grown...I found this coin and a musket ball ..could you please help me ID the coin and how old do you think the coin and the musket ball are. ..seems like it may be a promising spot but the mosquitoes nearly flew away with me..thanks for looking

Great sign of things to come buddy! When you're pulling 1700s coins it's time to go slow and low and find the rest of the killer stuff there

Great find! If you zoom in you can clearly make out the 175 ..and knowing it was only 51 and 52. its not a 1 there so definitely a 1752.

That musket ball could have possibly torn trough a Redcoat, and the coin may have belonged to him. :cat:

Actually George II coins could be anywhere from 1727-1760

Regal British halfpennies from 1729-1754, but can be separated by issues from the obverse.

1729-1739 (Young Head)
1740 - 1745, no 1741 (Georgius)
1746 - 1754 (Georgivs)
