I had the itch this morning and had to get out for an hour or so. Went back to a colonial farm site I've pounded and made some great finds in the past. Found a couple What The . . . ? and this - its silver and I believe its part of a colonial era spoon or fork handle. I also found a spot with LOTS of iron and broken china. I believe I'm going to go back and sift that area real soon.

Well if it were me I'd be calling that a piece of cut silver! Nice find.

Could be Beez, but the curvature seems very "spoon handle" like. Thanks for looking!

I'm pretty sure its part of a fork or spoon handle. Definitely "silva" though. The place has been in the same family since the 1740's.

I'd go back too, even without a sifter, just start removing all iron. I've always found places with lots of glass (well almost always) to be some of the best places.

Good Luck on your return.

Some more hunting time would be nicely rewarded there Richard. WTG, Q.

It's the same place I found the Confederate Block A button after your "prophecy."

I feel strongly about you making another great find in that area. HH, Q.

Sounds like another prophecy! I'm thinking seriously about an XP Deus. If I do get one, this will be the first site I hit.
