4hrs at the 'Hunted Out Park' - Silver Quarter & a '49 Chevy!

Got back this morning to a park that I've been hunting on and off for the past two weeks. My first find was the '49 Chevy Toy Truck Cab (please correct me if I'm wrong in my guess) :icon_scratch:, next came what I thought was a silver religious charm, turns out it's silver-plate on copper! :dontknow: I then found the Canada 1953 Elizabeth II Coronation Medal, this is the second one of these I've found in the past week and my third in 3 years! Apparently, every school age kid in Canada got one of these spiffy medals when Queen Elizabeth II was crowned in 1953, so there are a heck of a lot of them around! :laughing7: My last find of the day thankfully was the 1952 Silver Quarter, I say thankfully because I was starting to melt out there in the heat! :tongue3:

Had to show you the picture of the silver quarter in the dirt clod ... I think they look so cool when they come out of the ground looking like this! I also included a pic of the 3 Queen Elizabeth coins I've found.

Best of luck to all,
Dave

I just love "hunted out" parks , don't you ? Nice Finds .

I was told by one of the 'locals' when I was there on Sunday, "that there's a new guy every year hunting this park".
Obviously, they don't know what the hell they're doing do they?! :laughing7:
Thanks for your post Arg,
Dave

Thanks very much for your post DL! :occasion14:
I like the fact, that the last person to hold these items were the people who either lost of dis-guarded them ... so I take a pic of them coming out of the ground! :laughing7:
Dave

I think that is an International truck that you found. About the year that you stated.

Thanks for letting me know this Aucadet!
I 'Googled' a number of years and makes, the '49 Chevrolet & now the International look most similar.

Here in Canada we have a chain of restaurants called Montana's Cookhouse and all the locations have a '49 Chevy Pickup Truck on display in the roof rafters. That's what this find reminded me of ... the 'Montana's Pickup'! :laughing7:
Best of luck in your hunt for gold bud and welcome to TreasureNet!
Dave

Great finds!

Thank you Sir! :icon_salut:

I never believe a site's hunted out until I spend some time in the field! :laughing7:
Most detectorists don't detect as slow as I do in heavily hunted areas like this one.
Thanks for your post Brian, always enjoy seeing your relic finds my friend!
Dave
