That's an intriguing looking park Jeff - looks like it could yield an oldie - maybe a merc or two . Glad you're getting out some .

:laughing7: oldest coin I remember off hand was a Half Cent too bad to date but what I could see
convinced me late 1790's . this park has been Very Very Good to me over the years.
has also given me a few Skunked hunts. Been hammered . But never hunted out

occasionally I get a Yellow jacket trying to land on my face,
but those I don't mind as much as these
tiny gnats I sometimes even Breathe in & end up with them up my Nose.
and they land on the inside of my glasses which is a pain. LOL
it's times like this I do miss smoking the most.

these people who ride bike without helmets must not need to eat
when they get home. Free meals straight out the air :tongue3:

glad you are out and about, hate the bugs, especially the deer flies and the mosquitoes and the chiggers and the ticks and the gnats.... boy the list just goes on and on but when they are bad, they can really make you miserable! that is a really nice looking park, probably still has plenty of good stuff just waiting for you to find. the cigar would make me sick. LOL Jerry

The finds may or may not be lacking but it is great to see you've recovered enough to try again.

But, ya know, if you ever do get tired swinging out there. Just walk around and take pictures. You always share some beautiful shots!

Thanks!

Cool shot of the eagle..I'm from Ohio and I used to occasionally visit another engine builder in Pa, Tom Carlson..and he would take me out to a place where the eagles would nest..could watch them for hours..great stuff..thx..ddf

You have hammered that park so much that you might go home skunked more times then finding anything. The gnats are terrible over on this part of the county too. My wife was going nuts when we went to my cabin this morning.

I think it's the amount of rain we got this year causing it

I have to chuckle. We all whine and complain about the heat, rain, hard ground, ticks, mosquitos, bees, snakes, gnats, flies, chiggers and poison ivy yet we're out metal detecting at every opportunity. So either we're gluttons for punishment or we really love what we do for a hobby.

See, the problem with wearing one of these is dabbing at the sweat building up on your brow before it either drips into your eyes or onto your glasses. When it's hot enough to sweat you will be cussing the net more then the bugs.

I was thinking it even hanging loose at the chest would still prevent a large %

Gnats are my only personal hate
