Place wasn't mowed for awhile. I'm no big fan of trudging through Thick Grass but
Since I was there. I figured I'd do some Cherry picking.

Nothing Old today, but

I did manage $1.99 Gas rebate

if I had known, I would have dug another Zincoln :tongue3:

4 signals I couldn't resist digging out of curiosity

DSCF0004.JPG

and the 5th. Sounded familiar But I couldn't remember what
would give a Double Signal & sound like trash so I dug

There are no Markings inside :) , chrome maybe, not aluminum
signal was in zinc cent range . size 10

on the way home I swung by a Play ground, The equipment is Gone & this is what I saw

The next three to 4 days are Community Wide Yard sales in the Town,
So won't be till at least next Mid-week before I can comfortably Snoop.

I wonder if that is a stainless ring, i don't know if they would have markings or not. Almost got to the 2 dollar mark.

I would of had a hard time driving away without testing the waters so to speak behind that fence. At least you got out for eight hours this time.

Those orange fences can be intimidating, but I don't see do not enter or no trespassing signs, so I'd assume it to keeps kids from playing in the dirt. Adults should be able to play in the dirt though!

Put on a baseball jersey and if anyone asks you're looking for home run balls!

Last year one of the park workers told me they Dug a Civil war Bayonet just to the Left of this area while putting an underground drain in .
I don't know what Depth. he said they almost threw it away as junk but someone from the Historical society
told them what it was & took it for their Display

DSCF0013.JPG

I haven't gotten over to see if it really exists, But knowing the history
of this land (CW training Camp nearby) it is possible

Wow, yes, jump the fence! May be easier to go over the outfield fence!

as I said town will be over run with Yard saler's possibly through Labor Day Monday

Most likely they are going to fill this hole with wood Chips but hopefully I can get an Hour or so next week,
& find out where the dirt went also

Nice place to hunt! Congrats on your finds!
I've had to start taking breaks in my, what feels like an all day hunt!
Our city is not as trusting here, they are digging up city hall grounds which had cobble stone under the grass! I would love to get in there but no, there's an 8ft chain link fence with multiple no trespassing signs...everything but my name on it! Lol!

Hi Jeff glad to hear you are getting better. Could that be a Cobalt ring? Still a neat find no matter what its made out of =)

Could be anything but Gold, silver or Platinum :dontknow:

no markings, the surface shines like chrome,
and dirt sticks to the inside

& thanks !

Awesome finds!
I found a ring exactly like that one.
Turned out to be sterling silver after an acid test.
No markings whatsoever.
