it took me a while to realize what is was
thought it was aluminum or a cheap jetton, till I cleaned it a bit

I just tried to figure out where you were by searching the posts you have started ...wow pretty amazing stuff.
15th century Jeton Crusader buckle... and apparently your friends own a castle! France?

I'm in France the buckle and this coin were found in different areas

the medieval coin was found near ancient Roman cross roads...
where I found the coin and a piece of a fibula (not worth posting)

I'm trying to to do more research before going out detecting...
in France everything is spread out .. it's not like in England where you can go out to any field and find history
in France you need to do your research ...
