I was inspired by another post yesterday about some silver being found in the water. So today I took the family to one of our older swimming lakes. I detected while the family enjoyed the beach. I turned out OK, I dug a mercury dime and a silver ring! The merc dime was only a few inches from the waters edge in the gravel and sand, while the silver ring was in knee deep water. Several lead sinkers, a wheat penny, and a door knob! All found in the water.

Great finds! I went to the local park for the first time in hopes of a ring. Ended up with $0.97 of clad and a Chuck E. Cheese token. Plus a gozillion pull tabs. :dontknow:

WOW cool hand fluke!!! Your killing it this year. You've found seated coins this year so probably a merc and a silver ring is nothing. Just kidding :) great finds.
