Yes!!! Been at it five years, same place 100 times. I've found Williams cleaner bullets, 44 cal pistol bullets, and an 1876 dime, but to my surprise ten minutes into it finding absolutely nothing bam!!! 48 on my minelab

Sweet find! And if it was me that found it, I'd be repairing it, giving it a nice patina and wearing it.
Well done!

Yea I'm usually careful, but it was in middle of the road, and it showed up what is usually cast iron. Since I didn't find anything I just decided to dig. From now on I'm diggin those high signals!!

Yeah, it can tough being as careful in digging as we want to be. Especially on a shallow, loud, trashcan lid hit in a place we've hunted hundreds of times before.

Still an excellent save!

Just put a note under it in your display case that says, CSA buckle, split by a union sword in action. ;)

Awesome find! Congratulation on finding what most diggers will never find. Definitely banner worthy (putting in my vote) but unfortunately it probably wont make it to the top because there is one up there now and the banner gods don't like putting two like finds so close together. Hope I'm wrong about that.

I had a friend in KY who really wanted to dig a large cent. I kept digging coppers every hunt or so, and finally I decided to walk behind him (at a distance). I saw him check a signal and pass it up, so I swung over it when I got there and got a high tone. Locked right in at Half Dollar/Dollar. Often this is iron, but I always dig them. It was a Large Cent. Called him over and told him to dig it all!

P.S.--I'd have that buckle professionally repaired. Don't try and do it yourself.

Thanks y'all! Well I've been gettin told to have it repaired, but where or who would I use?? I'd be scared they'd just replace it with a new molded one. I live in mississippi I wouldn't have the slightest clue as in who to trust. Could I watch them fix it? Lol
