The weather was perfect for hunting today and the ground moisture was about perfect a rare combination ! Had a very enjoyable hunt with good nickel count 18 and more quarters than usual 11. On heading out I did get a huge CZ ring and when first light hit that stone it was a bit of a heart stopper for a few seconds but I realized it was "2 big 2 b Tru!"

Thanks for stopping by and seeing todays finds, hope you had a great hunt today also !

That is like a months worth of nickels and quarters for me and that would be if i were to hunt every day of that month...heh. I really think i would have a bit of a faint spell if i saw that stone in a hole, before i knew it was cz that is. Nice digs.

gotta love the heart stoppers, they do momentarily get your hopes way up but then they are still fun to dig and it is a ring! I've got one of those big engagement rings that made me gasp for a second, still they are cool finds

I know that feeling. Instant euphoria to total letdown in about 4 seconds. I had one myself today when the Pawn shop dude verified my CZ stone. They sure do look real don't they??

Oh well, still a nice hunt.
Even though it's CZ, is the setting gold??

cool find anyway!

Hi jewelerguy , thanks =)

Hi rodarian, when the moisture is just right, not too wet or dry, it does speed up the retrieval. I dug all those targets with my screwdriver except for one or two in no grass areas. Pinpoint as best possible then pry open ground with screwdriver then put pro-pointer in hole, those are a real help also, if no signal recheck with detector to see if your on target if so then dig deeper a bit and recheck with pro-pointer. Thanks =)

Hi dirtlooter, yeah kills the boredom ! Yeah one more on the ring count if I was organized enough to keep track =) Thanks for the reply =)
