I completely agree. That's a counterfeit capped bust half dollar. Probablymade of pewter. Pewter tends to flake like that. I found a counterfeit seated liberty half last year made of pewter. Very nice finds.That is not a fake large cent. If anything it is an attempt at making a fake capped bust half dollar! Check out what one looks like. Your pictures make the metal appear to be tarnished silver. Perhaps it is a capped bust half dollar that got hit by a train (or a plow)?
