I finally found my first chauffeurs badge plus this added bonus. I also found a few charms and pieces of jewelry.

I found a cousin to the El Paso smelting tag. Not in Texas but, in Bowie Arizona. The one I found was a different shape but, had the the same general writing on it. I think it was oval. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of it so, I cannot post it here. The one you found is very nice and if it is the same time periopd as the one I found it likely dates back to the early 1900's. All of your finds are wonderful.

Those are 2 very cool finds. I found my second chauffeur's badge in June. Same year as yours, but being from NY it sure looks a lot different.

Early chauffeurs badges are quite collectible. I dug my first one in Virginia years ago (dated 1922 and solid silver) and a collector offered me $600 for it. My second one was dug in Louisiana last year (1930s). They are not that common to dig. BIG congratulations!
