Solid 14K Gold Thimble, Connecticut Copper, KG III, 3 IH's, Colonial button

Finally had a chance to get out and do some detecting today. This was my maiden voyage with the CTX 3030. Nice machine---good balance and very stable. Think it will definitely be a keeper. Found the KG III at 6 inches with no problem at all. One area was extremely iron infested so I brought out the Deus and picked out a few more goodies including the Connecticut copper and the gold thimble.

If anyone is familiar with the hallmark, please let me know.

Yeah...I kinda figured it was plated too. Never thought someone would actually use a solid gold thimble. I was really amazed at what the Deus was able to pick up in that iron infested area!!! No chance the Minelab would have seen anything!! The CTX and Deus seem to compliment each other really nicely though!!
I forgot to post the crotal bell and shoe buckle too. Really good time out there!!!

Had it not been for the Deus, I honestly don't think I would have heard that signal at all. Good recommendation on your part!! And...the Connecticut copper was only about three feet away from the thimble.
