Anyway, I got nothing today, but I figured out something else about the half dollars.
    Amazing story and congrats!

Some crack head raided their grandpas coin collection, none the wiser as to what they had. Probably bought cigarettes or ingredients to make meth with them. Glad you were able to give them a new home. Congrats! That's unreal.

It's a supermarket. This was not this lady's personal stash of silver. Good for him for being in the right place at the right time and using his head. Do you think the greedy, large chain, supersized supermarket gave the original customer anymore than face value?? Nope. Didn't think so!

I almost had a heartattack yesterday, I went to the same store, and asked the woman at the service desk if she had seen anything, and she said that she had a couple bucks in half dollars, and she will get them. I was thinking that she had more walking liberty half dollars, then she handed them to me... all clads.

Also on a related note, a man was using the Coinstar, and when he was done I saw two silver quarters in his hand. I was just about to ask, when he says to his buddy, "Wow, these silver quarters are worth $5 each in silver!" I then saw a woman quickly come and check the tray of the Coinstar lol. She found nothing, but apparently I'm not the only one looking for Coinstar silver.

I found 4 90% silver half dollars in a box of halves today, my biggest half dollar box score ever. Three Brilliant Uncirculated 1964 half dollars, definitely part of a collection at some point (one "P" and one "D"), I also found a 1963 Franklin half. One of the 1964 half dollars was as the end of a roll, the box colapsed AT THE BANK PARKING LOT, and there flew out a roll with a 1964 on the end. A also got two silvers in a roll. I ended up getting 4 silvers, and 90 percent silver. The craziest thing is When I went to the bank to get replacement half dollars to put in place of the silvers, the teller gave me a 40% SILVER 1967 HALF DOLLAR BACK!!!!
