I hit another park today because I got a really late start. I hit the soccer field sidelines once again in the hopes of scoring some jewelry but, no such luck today.
I did manage to find my 2nd. Dollar coin. It's a 2010 Abe Lincoln "Gold" Dollar and frankly, I've never even seen one before. I thought it was a token or a half at first. It's also in way better shape than my 1st dollar coin.
I couldn't find the date at first but I discovered it's on the edge, as well as "E Pluribus Unum".

I also found another token. This one's from the Talamore Golf Club in Southern Pines North Carolina:

The front's a bit beat up but what the heck. It's still another notch for the token count.
I wonder how it made it's way this far North?? Anyone here familiar with this place??

I found a metal flower lookin' thingy with what looks like a three blade propeller on the front:

I dug about 50 pull tabs in the hopes of gold, but this one made me laugh:

Oh the irony!

This place is so trashed with pull tabs yet I dig one that says to "fight litter".
I guess whoever tossed it didn't quite get the message. I actually remember those.

And; last but not least I have the usual pile of clad, two more keys and one small split shot sinker. I actually had a high nickel count today; 8 in all as well as a 1961D penny, which is my birth year. I'm hoping to get a silver quarter and dime for that year eventually.

I also found yet another folding chair carrying bag someone tossed. I needed one more carrying case for my 3rd detector and now I have one. I just love when things I need come my way unexpectedly and at just the right time.

All in all, a pretty good hunt given the location and limited time. The weather was absolutely perfect and everyone I encountered was friendly.

Thanks for looking and HH.

A cheap one until I can decide on a very good brand-name one to buy.

Neat finds.
The Talamore Colf Club thingy is probably a ball marker. Then, when dude missed a put he threw it as far as he could :laughing7: Probably from another golf course many miles away :BangHead: :laughing7:

The "flower thingy" looks like a crotal bell...(?)

I'd wear that tab around my neck, if only to ward off evil spirits.

It looks prettier in the picture than it does in real life.
Good lighting changes everything.
