Hello all! Been a while since my last post because I am not a huge summer time relic hunter because of surfing and three middle school aged kids around to entertain lol. I switched over to the XP Deus this summer so I had to get out a few times to learn this machine in preperation for our season starting here in SE Virginia. So while the snow is 20" deep every where in the country, we will be digging fresh colonial and civil war relics to keep everyone else sain during the winter.

On to the relics and please visit my FACEBOOK PAGE--Mid Atlantic Relic & Coin Hunters--it is full of cool pictures and relic hunts that we have been on recently and over the past few months. Also my YOUTUBE PAGE--WES-N-VA--THANK YOU!!

Great bunch of finds! How are you liking the Deus?
It has been a love/hate relationship. Coming from many years with the Minelab Etrac and T2SE, it was different in the fact that the Deus does not always give you the information needed to make a solid informed digging decision. The Etrac and T2 always gave me a great sound plus a digital number to help me decide to dig or not. Especially in a nice yard site where you do not want to dig every signal, to limit unwanted turf damage. I don't know, its like digging by sound only and I would think as complexed as this machine is designed that it could give the user a better understanding on what is there other than tone. With the Etrac, I knew exactly what I was digging 90% of the time, with the Deus so far I am digging blind and hoping for the best. I hope you can understand what I am saying? It is light and that is a huge bonus for my shoulder, but so is the T2SE. Thanks!

This is the only site I have found this type of bullet. I have three or four from here and I have not found any link to assist me. I was hoping someone here could? Also, this site it very strange in the fact that up front all the bullets are a nice white patina and in the back everything is a brown patina. The soil does not change much, but it is a slightly bit more rocky in nature. This site is a confirmed 1862 depot/campsite near Richmond. That may help with I.D.? Thanks again!
