Hey guys. Nothing spectacular but I did get to check one off my bucket list. Managed Judy's Keychain, maybe her 3 merry widows condom tin too...she may not have been born yesterday, but I bet it was in the dark lol. Finally pulled my first silver thimble! I bet you can all guess where it came from lol. It's the only place I go. Thanks for looking and HH

Lol. Every post, with the exception of beach hunts, start with "hit my go-to field today" or "loyalist site".....same place every time. It's all I got right now

Lol Thank you beez. I've pounded it hard and nabbed a handful of 8 reales out of it. Barely a signal left. The etrac is struggling with the stock coil due to a stupid amount of iron and few targets. Gonna ask a friend to hit it with his Deus in the spring and see if he can sniff out anything good. Too bad you didn't live close by. Lots of history in the ground here.

That's one I'd like to find too.
Must be quite (or was) a site if the onll you ever go.
Although this year I've been striking out regularly with new places, my best finds this year came from last years good sites. I will hit another good one, it's only a matter of time, and numbers.

I haven't even tried any new permissions this year Rick. I just keep hitting the same 7.5 acres. Doesn't cost me too much in gas money, and the owner said I'm the only one allowed on it, so I might as well pound it now.

Well if it's still working, not much sense in "fixing it", and it seem to be working well. Maybe a good idea to give a smaller coil a try in the patch. Just thinking out loud here if you have exclusive permission why not try something new ?

I do know this, after any conditions change old sites are lik new, like a plow, or a spring frost. What ever you decide good luck out there.

Thanks Rick. It doesn't get plowed anymore, but we can always count on our Atlantic Canadian winters to lift some goodies to the surface!

Well if they are a matched set, apparently the Merry Widows were a tad defective!

Cool finds.
I've found one thimble and it sure wasn't silver.
that thing crumbled like a cheap accordion.

Love the key fob as well.
