Seriously old silver and the rarity of it makes it banner worthy without a doubt.
Silver wasn't produced for coins made in Britain of this period. Above I explain the unusual metal type they used.

That would make sense thanks. I still stand by the banner vote on rarity.

Congratulations on finding such a gem!

Wow - that was an extremely productive site, especially for coins. Looks like all that extra effort to clear out the trash really paid off.

Great find, does the government buy that from you, or is this something you can do a private sale? Also, when you do the unique find of one item, how do you split it with the land owner? Also, I'm just curious because I've never had a really valuable item that I need to share with the land owner, in my case they usually don't want anything, or perhaps one or two coins, and of course returned lost items. I would imagine that the coin would have to be sold for a fair split. I wouldn't think the government is interested in everything you find, so what do you not have to turn in? Do you split all the finds with the land owner? You have probably answered this before, if so and you don't want to be bugged, then I'll shut up, but regardless, you have my banner vote.
Due to the high price of ammunition there will be no warning shot.

Crusader, your finds totally blow me away. Incredible!!!!!
