Two firsts for me today! Silver pocket spill :)

Finding a silver quarter had eluded me until today, as had finding a "silver" pocket spill Managed to accomplish both today, one hole....two silver quarters ('46 & '47) and a silver dime ('50). Awesome day digging, for me anyway Found a lot of other cool stuff as well....a 1942 mercury head dime (only my second merc ever!), 1965 Ohio dog tag, 13 wheat cents, an unfired high caliber rifle cartridge, part of a baby spoon, and a really cool old metal toy plane (says "Flying Tiger" on the bottom of one wing). Super stoked, can't wait to go do it again! Take care all, HH!

Yeah Nice Silvers! Neat plane if I remember my history correct the "Flying Tigers" was / were the name of a fighter group that flew in the South Pacific during WWII. One of the more notable members was Pappy Boyington who also flew with the Black Sheep Squadron. Like the TV show Black Sheep Squadron form the 1970's.

Nice Finds, that plane is awesome!! I'd make a little stand for it to set on, and show it off.

On the topic of the Flying Tigers, I've always loved how they had Blood Chits sewn onto their flights jackets, so they could receive assistance from the Chinese population.

Awesome find! One of my favorite "toy" finds was a little airplane also, a Fokker E-III. Have only found the one but would love to find another.
