Did a quick hunt with fellow Tnet member Mikew, while we didn't hit it big, did find some cool stuff. I was swinging away, got a deep dime hit, turns out it wasn't a dime but bottles...

Great finds! How did you clean up the bottles so well without destroying the label?

You just keep turning up those super cool bottles. Thinking late 60's early 70's pepsi bottles?

The botts were surprisingly clean when we dug them out of the ground. .almost like they were placed there yesterday. Me and Mike both were shocked on how good they looked. The Pepsi bottle with the full label is from the fifties. The upper 10 bottle is from around 1953 and the clover farms jug is roughly from the same period.

I bet the experts know for sure but think you can ballpark 1960 as the change from 12 oz. to 10 oz. bottles. Nice finds.

Nice finds, I like when a bottle cap comes along with an old bottle.

Nice.
I did quite a bit of post rain river hunting last spring myself.
I love doing that 'cause you never know what will turn up. It amazes me how the rivers transport so many things so far.
