Welcome to the air gunner wings club!!! by clamps he means the clasps that hold onto the pin....mine is intact as well. Yours is missing. The back says Gemsco Sterling.... wait till you clean it up, it will look great!

Wow.. are these like common finds or something? Haha..here I thought I found something kinda rare.
I'll buff the high spots some..but keeping the old look I believe.

It doesn't say "Gemsco" anywhere..just the word sterling on the back

It was a heart stopper when you pulled it out wasn't it?

I guess there is a variance on the reverse

Comparing the two, I see a difference between them, slight details on the front

Gatorboy - Your wings definitely are different from mine ,your "bomb" devise looks like it is a separate piece that was soldered on .
I'm in no way implying that yours is lesser in value or originality or anything just that the construction looks fabricated in two parts,
rather than cast - I'd love to see a couple more close ups of it - mine has two separate clasps on the back , rather than a pin back .
I assure you these are not common finds - I've seen maybe two or three in six years here ! Great find !!!!!!!!!!!!
