Found all this on the banks of a large creek in the area. Large cent is toasted. Did get 1831 date off it. The 2 cent is really nice besides the scratch I put in it with my digger. Anyone have any ideas off age on some of the bullets and balls. Area has been settled since around 1780.

Yes the key is hollow. I need to get some permissions from more people who's housed suit where a turn off the century hotel Sat. 145 rooms is roughly what it had. It was quite the place from 1890's to 1920's.

Good luck on that one. I hunted a property in the beginning of this year that back in the day was a hotel with bar. The owner told me a couple fellows had detected it many years ago and had lots of success trying from the bar to the outhouse. When it's dark and you're in a hurry, I guess you aren't worried about a dropped coin, especially if you've had a few lol.

The LC was right in the creek rocks. Spent lots of time under water when the creek gets high. Which is most of the year. The 2 center was up over the bank near an old stone spring. Not much water makes it up where I found it. they had a Damn across the creek and used to take small boats from hotel to a park on the other side. I think that is the area around the spring. Well a small part of it. The majority of the area has 4feet of fill dirt on it and is now a sports complex.

Thanks. I think that pre-hotel and while hotel was there people must have sat on back on town side of creek and shoot across. The far bank is loaded with lead. I bet I could fill a bucket with what I didn't dig. After awhile I could just tell that it was lead.
