Saturday's Hunt

Fellow TNetter, Todd Lipe, invited me out for a hunt on Saturday. We hit several spots around Mooresville, NC. It was a big day for Wheaties, I managed to find 14 of them, indicated to me that we were hunting the right places. I found the back of a pin that is marked "sterling"... I sure do wish that the pin had shown up... if the back was silver, the pin must have been nice.

As you can see a bunch of other relics (junk) were dug.

I only got one silver coin (but that is good for me), but it is in excellent shape. I rubbed it with baking soda to clean it, and it looks brand new. Silver coin # 35 YTD.

Thanks for looking!

Great finds and congrats on another check mark on the silver side. That's a nice looking Merc.
You and the Dues sure are killin' the silver consistently.

Thanks G424! I have been quite lucky lately... three pieces of silver jewelry and four silver coins in the last five days.
Hope all is well in MD!

I've been lucky myself, two gold and two silver rings. Got diamonds, sapphires and 18K.
Can't complain at all about that.
My Delta is treating me very well thus far. I really hope the run continues.

Great Hunt Tom !! I just love the way the silver comes out of the ground..all shiny and just waiting to be found, and I also take some fine metal polish to some of my non-key date silvers, those Mercs are REALLY nice polished up! Nice hunt, keep it up...ddf
