1859 Seated Quarter, Thimbles, TombacButton

Hi All,

A few days ago, I went back to a 1700's house that I have been quite a few times. I hunted for 4 1/2 hours and not one good single find, just lots of deep iron nails and deep big iron and as you all know anyone of those could have been something good. So I swing under a tree I had been many times and I get a decent hit and out pops the thimble that is bent. About 5 minutes later I dig the other thimble that is nice looking. Soon after that I dug and 1898 Indian Head not shown, because it is a tough one to clean. Just a little while longer I dig the big Tombac Button which was a decent signal. Then a short time after that I get this some what decent funny signal and at 9 inches on edge was the 1859 Standing Liberty Quarter, when I pulled it out of the ground both sides where caked in dirt. Later on when the dirt came off it was nice to see what was under there. As we all know all it takes is one nice find or a few of them to make our day, no matter when they come out in our hunt.

I would call that a nice hunt Bubba. I can't seem to find the seated silver myself.

Great find, I'm still trying to find that seated anything, maybe today. That button looks exactly like the one I found yesterday.

Nice Quarter also one of my G.I.S. Finds. GIS " Gig In the Sky " list.
Always disliked the "Bucket List Quote"
So from now on it's GIS list for me.

The thimbles & button are Cool to IMO.

I would call it beter luck next time, but being on the wrong side of the pond.................you are really close to the good stuff. I know you by now (& me by now), so stick with it.
