Congrats on the silver, I have found 3 silver dimes in the Coinstar this year (Two one day, and one the other).

I was at the supermarket a few weeks ago, and a cashier was loading coins in the self checkout machine, when I saw a silver edge in the quarter section, I ask if I can buy it and she said yes, and it looks to be silver. It was a 1964 quarter in great shape, but that's not the story. She then said that she has some "silver dollars" in one of the trays. I figure she had some "Ike Dollars" or Clad half dollars. But then she said that they were from the 1930's and some older. She brings me over there and I see a tray overflowing with walking liberty half dollars! There ended up being 32 of them, which I all bought, she said that they were sitting there for months, and nobody cared about them, or took any. I paid her 20 dollars, she gave me the half dollars, and the 4 dollars change. I then clumsily dropped them all in the parking lot, but picked up all them (I dove on to the pavement, and crawled around looking for them lol).

Oh yeah, Today I was at the store, when I see a man at the Coinstar, he had a Coinstar cash voucher in one hand, and two silver quarters in the other. I was just about to ask him if I could buy them when I heard him say to his buddy that these quarters are made out of silver, and worth 5 bucks each. Oh well, better luck next time. Funny thing is right after he left a woman ran to the Coinstar and checked the tray lol, I guess I'm not the only one

Sweet Dealers!!..My Coinstart honey hole ran out. I was cashing in some of my detecting Clad the other morning and it was about 200 bucks, so i got there early. The girl noticed all my coins were dark and black, and I told her they were from detecting...she said "Cool!". Then I told her I typically go out looking for silver coins...She reaches in her pocket and pops out a 52 Quarter...she said "This was in the reject tray when they opened up this morning"

My stomach sank, ive only found Dimes in them, and then she told me " I collect Silver and find a dime or 2 a day in the register"...Makes me almost want to get a second job working with cash lol

Haha! Nice! I check em every time too. In fact my wife and I always race to it... Day before yesterday I retrieved $.09 out of it and one of the the pennies was a steel wheat from the war era! I will post it later. Nice find!

Way to go! :hello2: I finally found my first coinstar silver dime this year and am up to 2. One on the shelf and one in the reject bin so they're definitely out there just far and few between.

No, Its probally just checked hard...My old hotspot is gone from a person that works there, plus she told me about some older guy that comes in asking her for half dollars and he checks the machine daily

Problem is...there are so many people out there searching these days, We are all our own competition
