Wanted to go out yesterday after work, but didn't have the time so I hit my back yard (postage stamp size) found the turquoise and coral ring, silver plate with most of the silver gone. Went today and hit a nice 1866 two center. Then I found the wheat penny not sure about it though. It is smooth on the back side and the front is also super worn. It is a little bigger than a dime and smaller than a wheat penny. It is also a little thinner than a dime. Could it be that worn? Any idea's?

Sweet finds! The 2 center looks in good condition. No idea on the smooth wheatie. (Smooth Wheatie.....sounds like a health drink!)

I've seen some worn pennies(roll hunting) and they do suffer for size. Very cool to see a 2-cent in WI, it gives me hope. Do you get many large cents(it's one of my goals for the year)??

Gold Fish, This is actually my second 2 center for the year. I found one on New Years day. No large cents for me,but my buddy has recovered two.

Very nice 2 center. Can't wait to find one.
As for the wheat. I think there was a bad crop of wheat that year , due to a late freeze, and massive rains. That is why the wheat never fully grew right. At least that's my opinion. ;D
Great pictures by the way.

Looks like that wheatie has passed through a lot of hands and has been around the world and back.

Nice finds, I especially like the 2 Cent Piece.
