Went searching for a new site and when I got about half way to where I think they are I hit a stone wall and could see a depression in the ground. Ill go looking for the other sites in a few days but I figured I'm standing on a hole now why not detect it. First signal was a nice little nipple pewter button and it was game in from there. Just about two hours I grabbed a few buttons and what looks like a bracelet but I'm not sure. One of the buttons is a nice gold gilt british navy button. 1820's ish? That was about it. Typical cellar hole in my area. A lot of buttons come before any coins. The shield was from the previous scouting mission in the area so I believe it came from this site. Happy hunting.

You already beat my record of most colonial era (some may be a tiny bit later) buttons in a day. I see you got some very nice ones. Hit that place hard!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I do like the old buttons and buckles but I found a Spanish silver and a fugio at another cellar hole not too far from here so I'm hoping there's more in the area. We shall see!

Very nice button finds Greylock! :occasion14:
The 'bracelet' is very interesting, if I didn't know better I'd swear it was a slave trade bracelet. :icon_scratch:

Too bad the buckles weren't complete.
