found my oldest coin in the woods today!

Hello everyone, Been along time since I've been able to metal detect with 2 young ones + work but I recently started to visit TN and reading all of the wonderful treasure finds got me motivated to make the time to go hunt. Today I decided to hunt in the woods not expecting to find any coins but possibly old hardware or anything really, kinda just needed to get out and swing. I got a quarter signal at 3 INCHES? and could not believe what it was. made my month. I know it's not that big of a deal and allot of you guys are finding such things on a daily basis but it's a huge find for me. I don't even think my town in central ca is even that old. you know I'm going back asap to grid that area again. thanks for looking

I have found over 160 silver coins including a seated quarter, two seated dimes, and a peace dollar. Still haven't found that barber quarter. Go figure. Congrats on a great find
