Got out today with patriot and our other detecting buddy for another go at it, and tried to finish off what we could from one of our newer sites. Finds were still popping up all over the place and I started off with the silver quarter just a few yards from where patriot scored his spanish silver last time there. The anchor button was a nice surprise as it's my first. And sorry Iron Patch - couldn't keep Patriot away from the iron!

Wow that navy got lots of gilt and details left!

Like that Navy, and those things sure made their self scarce for us these days over here.

I'm glad there was as much gilt left as there is, makes it nice for a first! Surprised it took 5 years to finally score an anchor button. Now I'm really hoping the cold and snow forecast for later this week stays away haha.

Great looking button and with the gilt remaining on it is certainly a bonus, you got a real nice assortment of finds from the hunt.

Just want to add the picture showing the mitt of coinage really shows a wide range of history, nice site.

A site like that is so much fun to hunt. I do NOT know this from experience sadly, just from reading posts here on T-Net. Hope you find many more treasures there in the future.

My gut says we're getting an anchor button today! :headbang: Tune in later to see what it is. :)
