Stopped on my way home as usual, One of my favorite 1700s spot..Pickings are getting slim..The half penny gave me a terrible signal but i was digging everything today..It was 8inch down on its side..Geuss thats why..
Also dug this window lock?? I belive it is, never seen one made out of lead before, anybody else seen one?? The flatten cent was pretty cool..I was digging right near the constitution center, so that makes cents, (ha ha)...The award is more modern then 1868 that it says..
But my favorite is the clay pipe stem..
I love finding them..Never found a bowl yet..Well enjoy the picks.
George

Nice ones George. That first hunt I had with you gave me my one and only piece of a pipe stem. How's the ground down there?

Nice finds and interesting looking piece of pewter. What does the bottom look like? Could it have been some sort of handle or tamper? Those pipes stems are always nice to see. I have a few stems and bowls but I would love a complete one.

Doesn't look like a Va halfpenny to me. In the 2nd pic it looks like a harp which could indicate an Irish halfpenny. The Va ones have a shield on the reverse.

Looks to be a British George III with signs of Britannia and the IA showing from the letters "NIA"

Vino vino vino, that is a tough one my man. Drives me crazy when I can't accurately get a coin id. But you've got plenty of beauties and it's just part of the deal. Ugly coins need love too brother. Kinda like ........

Looks like an irish halfpenny to me...! I dug one just like it last year. If you look at the bottom of the "v" of the harp on the back, you should be able to see the date. It might be a little too far gone but thats where to look :unhappysmiley:
