1888 IHC...maybe an 8/7???

Got out for a little while and dug some neat stuff. As far as IH, just not sure...the last 8 "looks" fatter and at times I see a little blob at the bottom. But I think my eyes just like to trick me. What do you think? 5th IH this year and my second 1888, but this one looks different to me. IH's are one of my favorites!! The SG shell is a big ole 10G! And any ideas on the big brass ball on the left? It's threaded all the way through. A knob of some sort, but do not know what to. Thanks for looking and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm seeing something under the 8 also. Possibly an 8 over 7. Nice finds. :thumbsup:

I think that knob can possibly be an oxnob, I'm no expert though, and is that thimble silver?, hard to tell by the pic but it maybe an 8 over 7 IH
