I found this at my 1831 farm site. After working this property pretty hard over the last two years I was amazed to pull this little beauty. The cherry picking is finished, in TTF with the E-trac moving very slow, I was able to sort this out of the heavily iron infested signals. It was actually about 15 feet away from the 1/2 Reale I found two days earlier and I know I have passed over/missed them both several times. Many times I have left the farm discouraged with nothing, thinking it's hunted out, then on consecutive trips I find the Reale and this little beauty. When door knocking fails, I always have plan B and now I'm convinced it's not hunted out, just very slim pickins.
Thanks for looking, Bill

Wow! Thank you, I, like everyone have Banner aspirations but didn't think an Indian would be worthy unless of course the 1877. Regardless it is the most amazing Indian I have found in four years and to be a semi-key at that!
Thank You HWJj

Wow! Amazing condition. That's the coin that they want to use for pictures in coin collecting magazines! I live in Cincinnati not too far down the highway from you. You have some very forgiving soil on that farm!

Now THAT! Is the kind of indian head cents I remember finding a long time ago! I used to show some of the ones I found but people just didn't believe that they could come out of the ground that good looking!

That is in AMAZING condition! Pretty green patina but none of the normal pitting. From what I have seen, Ohio soil is pretty kind to copper coins, even in the cultivated fields.

It difficult to get IH's that the ground hasn't "kissed". You've got a specimen there that looks like it just came out of a coin-store ! The tone/color is actually probably desirable to collectors. Great job. Great pix ! Thanx for sharing.

You RARELY see an IH come out of the ground without rim/edge damage corrosion. That is INSANE! *bows down
