Hi Folks ,I have started on a new site . Small Cornish and Welsh Mining town called "The Burra " by the locals but the real name today is Harvey Town Eaglehawk. In the first goldrush even Eaglehawk had a different name "America Flat" Golding Mining existed from 1852 till the Great War. Local mining families lived in various styles of houses and only a few of the stone cottages exist today. Of these most are on private propriety and have a heritage listing which means no Mding. That doesn,t bother me as the best areas are in the state forest. First 3 trips and i have only covered 2 dwellings .heres the result tinpan Few pics of the style of houses built in the 1850- 1870

That is a really sharp token. I also like that Victorian sash buckle. Too bad it is broken. You've hit a nice spot to swing.

Very good thread, great pix, great finds. Crazy but I love that broken plate, its my favorite. All those finds are very cool saves. That sounds like it should keep you in good finds for a long time, good work, and congrats!

Nice relic finds! Congrats!
In that one pic the chimney is about half the size of the building, was that a house or used for something else? Interesting.
Must be a lot of good finds there!
