Wouldn't want to change this diaper!

Played hookey from work today. Tried a couple new spots,no luck. Ended up in my own backyard(it's still postage stamp size) Found three wheats a 36,44 and 47D,then a had a foil,penny/dime signal. Took me a while to find it,but I got my first Katonka nickel! I think I see a 20 on it. After that, I found this giant pin! I guess you have to be old enough to remember cloth diapers to understand this one. That would have been one big kid! LOL

Good stuff there! Nice safety pin. Yes, I wore cloth diapers, but my kids wore disposables.

;D ;D ;D LOL Wasn't it "Ta-tonka" ??? Been too many years since I've seen the movie. And too be correct we should probably be calling them "Bison" nickels. :)

Very cool finds! Makin' me wanna play hookey too.

That safety pin kinda reminds me of the pin that came on my "kilt" skirt (waaay back when). It's big enough, anyway...

Re: Wouldn't want to change this diaper!

Yep, I remember the days of the old cloth diapers and the big diaper pens. Growing up had to change my little sisters diapers all the time and of course my two babies that are now age 17 and 13.

Nice buffalo nickle.

Way to go DieHard - nice old coins, unique pin also. It's probably a little late, but Welcome to Treasure Net!

Looking forward to your finds this season.....

Re: Wouldn't want to change this diaper!

I have a HUGE "diaper pin" as well. I think it was in the house when we bought it 25 years ago. Anyway....I believe it's a pin for a horse blanket. I just accepted the fact when my grandfather told me what is was. I'm assuming it was for the blanket you'd put on your horse to keep him/her warm.....

Those extra large diaper pins were in fashion during the 60's on plaid kilt skirts..............

Re: Wouldn't want to change this diaper!

Yep. Blanket pins.

In Scouts we used to use those to make "summer weight" sleeping bags out of sheets and a wool army blanket. And we were glad to have 'em, too. Not like you kids now . . . Oops. Channeling Dad.

I still use them to hold my hunting license on my back. ;)
