There were native American settlements in the area that I live. I've never really gone on a serious hunt for arrowheads and such but I do scan the ground sometimes. I hope I stumble upon one of these some day! They are definitely on my list of relics! Wonderful find and congratulations!

Thats a thing of beauty. I always wanted to look for these things. I was told the best time is when the farmer is plowing up the fields, never thought of looking in the creeks. What do you watch for???

The best time is after the first good rain after the farmer plows his fields. When the mud dries you just look as you walk and will find them on the surface. The rain washes the dirt off of them.
