Hello all,

Happy Holidays to you all and yours!!

I've been home for the holidays for a whole week and have been out for three hunts.

First hunt produced several dollars in clad not pictured and a brand new Kershaw pocketknife that was barely sticking out of the grass.

Second hunt was at a park in my hometown that also has a rodeo arena attached to it, I've had good success actually inside arenas but my first step on the driest looking part sank me down over half a foot in the mud. More clad and on this hunt I found the silver earring at the swings, the James Avery silver heart ring and my first ever 14k gold ring about 8 inches down under a slide; it has a neat little design and hit solid 46 on the g2. I don't know the weight but I'm guessing it may be around 1.5 grams??

Third hunt was at an old house site owned by one of my friends. My first good signal was the 1952-D wheat but there was plentiful trash on top of the ground so I dug deep signals only in the yard. A couple of copper pennies later and I've a beautiful 10 inch signal barely squeaking 83/85 on the g2 and out popped my first mercury dime, a 1941-S! Didn't find much else in the yard but once I moved to some old oak trees I found more targets. First hit under the old trees was a 1925 wheat then got a 1930-D wheat a couple of minutes later. Also, found a 1951-D nickel nearby and then had a solid 70/72 signal and out popped a tiny silver ring with a turquoise stone but without any markings. On the side of the house I had to move several sheets of tin and I'm sure glad I did, about 3 inches under one sheet I got a nice 88 I thought would be another clad quarter but out popped my first silver spoon marked Sterling on the back!! Later, I found the 1946-D rosie under a tree by their old chickencoop.

My firsts included: the mercury dime, the 14k gold ring and the sterling silver spoon.

Also not pictured is about 10lbs of can slaw and ~50 pull tabs I dug plus the other junk and several pieces of junk jewelry.
