Would love to bring my detector to my parents town next time I'm in Portugal. A lot of Roman activity. However from what I've read up on it's pretty difficult to detect in Portugal. A lot of red tape. Is it something you guys have to do while no one is looking?

No man!! I just detect in the forest. We only have problems with this activity in the beach.. I already had some rencounters with the police and zero problems.
