Started out today with a couple friends hunting a colonial site with no luck, but good company to start a new year. My cousin Brian and I went to a permission site around noon, and the first thing that I dug was a full date 1921 standing liberty quarter. Later in the day I scored my second silver,a 1939 merc. Love them mercs. My cousin ended our hunt with a nice Buffalo. Happy Newyear Everybody. IMG_20150101_114650640.jpg IMG_20150101_122920060.jpg IMG_20150101_122929273.jpg IMG_20150101_125250990.jpg

Nice 21 SLQ, i found one last year the coin is so clean and in such grate condition i could see the date through the dirt, i put the coin in my little black sack and in my pocket it whent got it home i just rinsed it under cold water man i couldnt believe the condition it was in.. i would say your coin would still bring in about $400 bucks not bad right...:occasion14:

I just noticed too, that the word trust
Is in fact spelled
"TRVST" not TRUST That is a great error!!!! I'd defiantly keep that one fire sure!!! Great find!!!

That lettering style of the "U" was intentional. Peace dollars have the same style of "U".

That's a very nice one, Congrats. I wonder what drives the market on the SLQs? I looked at a couple sites for the values and the 1927 d and s has a lower mintage but is worth far less than the 1921. And there were some other lower mintage years worth less than higher mintage years. I didn't realize this with the SLQs, interesting. From everything I've seen across the coin spectrum generally lower mintage's command higher values, why is this not true with SLQs?
Great save, love the SLQs!
