Worm hole bullet

Happy New Year all! A lot of rain in Va and rare 60 temp. It was messy, but we have snow coming tonight and tues and wanted to give a new place a quick walk around...(slide around more like it) An old home site, that was off the maps by 1945 and is now a small field. Anyway, in the short time I got enough signals that will take me back when I can. Oldest coin was 68, qtr & cents, but the bullet made the trip!! Only the 2nd such bullet I have found among many Va CW bullets, but this one is in great shape. The threads are very visible. Not sure what the ring is, it was deep and one side if the inside is worn almost flat. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Think the ring is a piece of horse tack. Used on a buggy or wagon, reigns would run through the opening.

Yeah, it's pretty cool to think the soldier was right there. Did he have a misfire, was he unloading for travel...did he ever fire his weapon again. The relics make one think. Thanks for looking.

Yep, unearthing the past is pretty cool, holding an old relic knowing your hand was the 1st in a great while.

Yeah, I want the tool too! I can't wait to get back there. Went from 60 degrees to 4-6 inches of snow in 36 hours...stinks. Thanks for looking.
