I was able to get out for a little hunting over the weekend. I hunted with Smittyman on Saturday, and Todd Lipe on Sunday. Not a single silver coin was found by any of us. However, I was able to scratch up a few pieces of junk, Uh.. I mean relics.

I got 2 wrist watches, a watch fob, clad Kennedy, collar disc, Model T hub cap, 3 Wheaties, 1 Canadian and a brass rope tensioner. Of course I got a bunch of trash and some modern coins.

This is my first watch fob, it says "Robbins Co. Attleboro, Mass." on the reverse. I think that the logo is for Davidson College, but I am unable to confirm this, any ID input would be appreciated.

I also got a collar disc, the threaded post is missing from the rear. It is from WW1, from what I can tell, and it belonged to someone in the signal corps.

I promise that I will try harder to find silver coins next weekend.
Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts!

Love digging those WWI collar disks Tom. Due to the Coast Artillery School being located here at Ft Monroe from 1907-1946, we found a wide variety of them in yards in the surrounding area. Below is a pic of some of mine in case you might be interested. Nice hunt!

You probably found 2 years worth of silver last year Tom. Very good find in the collar disc.

Ha ha! I think I can see where your priorities are, not too far from mine. LOL

If I'm not turning a nice old silver coin and jewelery doesn't count, it's just not the best of days. ;)

Trouble is, for some reason, silver coins are avoiding my coil like the plague! Not sure why. Only thing I can figure
is location. Just not hunting enough spots with decent potential I guess.

The type of relics you turned up there would certainly have given you quite a ride though. They just had to be wonderful
sounding hits! :)

Nice !

Hey bud just getting out this time of year is a win. The collar disc makes it a successful hunt. Much cooler than most silver coins in my opinion. But it does too off a hunt nicely to nail an old coin

Nice you found "time" (X2) and got out the to dig! Nice group of RELIC finds! Congrats! The ford hub cap is neat, nice collar disc too!

We have cement for soil here now, so it's all surface hunting even when the temps get above that magic #...32.
My fire breathing dragon is on vacation so no thawing the ground to dig. : (

I think that DC fob actually stands for " Denied Coins " and you should wire it under Beez's bumper when he isn't looking[emoji11]

OD that is priceless!

One of the old guys that I know says that is an old Davidson College logo. It is the correct color, and was found in NC, so I going with "Davidson College"... however, I really really like the way you think!
