After getting complacent in digging dozens of memorials among thousands of targets, this lady was a surprise in the hole. Tough digging in a dry, weedy, trashy-a$$ empty lot...oops, nice scar across your face, my bad. I feel deflated...get it? deflated:laughing7:

I agree with your title. You do suck. Don't let all the niceties here go to your head. :laughing7:

Been there, done that. My first Walker I dug up with a modified screwdriver, and plunged the hell out of the middle of it. Haven't scarred a coin since. Live & learn. That'll take the air right out of your balls when you do that!

Great find. So that scratch just gives it some extra character is all. Thanks for sharing.

Don't be so hard on yourself, at least you found an awesome coin. I stabbed my 1922 Peace Dollar, but I still love her!

We all know the feeling of pulling that find that is bright silver...just laying there for decades only to discover....by some unknown force ...a nick, scratch mysteriously glares back at us.....still great to get that silver though.

I'd take that blemish any old day on a pretty silver coin. I feel bad for you though,it happens to us all.

Very nice find! A little plastic (metal) surgery will fix her right up. Congratulations on the nice silver!
