TINY 300 YEAR OLD SITE PRODUCES TINY 1/4 CUT COB & SEAL MATRIX

Got out to a new site I had gotten permission for last year but hunters were all over this place until a week or so ago. A bit of investigating showed there was a small site on a hill which didnt produce a lot but enough to satisfy my urge. Time was not kind to this stuff. I spent 4.5 hrs here and might go for another half day at some point. The mercury dime was right on top of the hill and was reading 92 on the Deus and sounded SWEET! Man I really thought I had a really old silver for a few seconds.

Yep. 18kHz. The cut piece was reading around 90 or so and sounded very, very good.

Did you forget that you dug up a cob ? Just kidding. Super hunt ! Look at all those buckle and button fragments. The Deus doesn't miss much. There's got to be more goodies to be found hiding in the iron at that site.

LOL. I'm happy with the dime but there is nothing new even close to here so I was really expecting something a lot older. I was surprised but there wasnt a whole lot of iron here at all. Dont really think this placed was lived in long.

Thanks. Yeah, my wife and i are on a really good site (where those old buckles came from in my earlier post). Once I finish that one I'll post up the results. I only go to that spot when she can go. One of those sites where hundreds of 300 year old targets come out. In other words, few and far between type of site. We've pulled out over 500 targets. Mostly lead but there are plenty of goodies too. That place is still producing great stuff.

Those sites are so hard to find. They are incredible but it's sad to think when it's gone it's one less out there for you. I hope the 2 of you nail lots more great finds from there. Most will never see a site like that. We are lucky me friend
