Found today, 2/11/15, while picking. I think it is a Prehistoric Megalodon Sharks Tooth but not sure. Your guess or feedback welcome. 100_6019.jpg 100_6023.jpg 100_6028.jpg 100_6037.jpg 100_6039.jpg

Reminds me of a snapping turtle skull almost.

Lower jaw of a prehistoric alligator snapping turtle maybe....a very young one at that.

It looks like a brachiopod. A bilaterally symmetrical bivalve. Probably a Paleozoic age sea shell. Nice specimen !

Yeah, the elevated back excludes it as a shark tooth. It looks like the ridge of somethings back. I used to find fossilized allagator ridges, but they were much smaller.

Positively not a sharks tooth. It is however super cool and worth investigating.

I don't think it's a tooth. Looks like a bivalve shell to me. Like a muscle or clam. Where did u find it? Those teeth don't just turn anywhere and are specific to certain geologic formations.

I have to agree with Tuggerman on this one. In my possession are a half dozen or so Megladon teeth and your find looks nothing like mine. Not even close.
Tuggerman has this one right I think,,, it is a bivalve of some sort.
