It isn't pretty
It isn't pretty, It's has no real value, especially in this condition. So why did I do it. Well that one is easy, to see if I could I found this bottle while digging a solid sound on my old XLT. The junk iron scrap I found didn't interest me as much as the broken glass below it. I dug it out, washed it up and glued it back together. What you see is the end result, all except the neck which wasn't located Now the truth behind it all, as I explained to the newbie detecting with me, isn't that I have nothing better to do with my time, but by dating the bottle (1890-1920), as well as some of the other trinkets, do-dahs, & junk. It could help us date the area in which we are digging. He said he would never have thought about in that way and was glad I shared this information and insight. Which in turn prompted me the share this little story with everyone here. I hope you enjoyed it.
