It isn't pretty

It isn't pretty, It's has no real value, especially in this condition. So why did I do it. Well that one is easy, to see if I could ??? I found this bottle while digging a solid sound on my old XLT. The junk iron scrap I found didn't interest me as much as the broken glass below it. I dug it out, washed it up and glued it back together. What you see is the end result, all except the neck which wasn't located :'( Now the truth behind it all, as I explained to the newbie detecting with me, isn't that I have nothing better to do with my time, but by dating the bottle (1890-1920), as well as some of the other trinkets, do-dahs, & junk. It could help us date the area in which we are digging. He said he would never have thought about in that way and was glad I shared this information and insight. Which in turn prompted me the share this little story with everyone here. I hope you enjoyed it.
