My first attempt to hunt this big park started way back in 1987. Since that first adventure into this gigantic park I've hunted it hundreds of times. One thing that keeps me coming back are the new areas where I can swing my coil. Today I hunted around one on the many lakes in the park. It was an area that I never hunted before. I did ok. Dug up 1 merc dime, 1 rosie dime, a possible silver & gold twisted together ring, 12 wheaties, and some other miscellaneous items. I'll be back!

It was another warm day in Northern California, it was about 70 degrees!

You had a fantastic day! I wish I had a park like that near me. It is a perfect "go to" place when you have nowhere else to go. If used in that manner it would produce forever.

thanks for the post,I needed it after seeing the post about the careless hole-diggers that are ruining our hobby. Looks like a great hunting ground. Protect it for yourself
and others.HH

Nice going on the silvers and assorted finds.

Lived near one that was 400 acres hunted hard by everybody but the ravines and most of the trails were left alone. A good keeper every two hours of hunting was the average, many great keepers came out of the park. It was like having an old friend and one got to visit a few times a week for a hunt.
